Removing the Masks

We all wear masks from time to time. How to Remove the Masks by Isha Judd      Everything we judge in others is an aspect of ourselves. When we learn to become aware of our automatic responses to the thing’s others, so we can go within and use the feelings that are triggered to heal ourselves. By doing this, we transform ourselves and the world around us. We constantly see and criticize how false people are, the masks they adopt, how they compromise, and the level of mediocrity that surrounds us. We see this on the outside, in the news headlines, on social networks, on TV, in novels, but can we see it in ourselves? We swear that we are not like that, but I invite you to open up to the possibility that maybe some of this belongs to you too. Not to judge yourself, but to eradicate what is internally sustaining (albeit subtly and surreptitiously), the existence of these aspects. Everything that annoys us externally is an aspect of us, and if we can recognize it, love it and heal it, it will no longer remain hidden within, capable of generating pain and causing suffering.   When we change, the world around us changes. When one heals those places of suffering, and the lack of love within, the vibration of love rises in everything.   We all deserve to experience this. How can I make this change? If I do not like something on the outside, first I need to ask myself: where is that within me? How can I change that in me? Moreover, then I must remain willing to make that change so that it can begin to happen. Here is an example: “They deceive me, they lie to me, they disappoint me, and they abandon me…

Rumi’s Love Poems

Question:

Hello, this question is regarding your book the love poems of Rumi. I cannot express how important this question is to me. The most important thing in the world to me is finding my twin flame….it is why I breathe, it is what I painfully long for. When I used to read Rumi’s poetry, I would think this guy understands me. He knows what I am talking about. That he was talking about a lover instead of god. But I saw an interview of you on YouTube, and you seemed to express that his poetry is about the love for god. So I am asking is the love for the twin flame the same as loving God…or is that love just for God.

Councilman in Ski Mask Steals $16,395 Worth of Opiates From Local Pharmacy

Councilman Kirk Mullen of West Reading Pennsylvania was arrested last week for robbing a pharmacy in his own district. Mullen reportedly covered his face with a ski mask during the robbery while stealing $16,395 worth of opiates from the store.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams said there as no evidence that Mullen had a weapon, but authorities were able to retrieve pill bottles from his home.

“I think this is a classic example where an individual robbed a store for one thing and one thing only — prescription opioid pills, which are dangerous and very addictive. We are all somewhat shocked and surprised that we have an individual who was a public official to be involved in this type of crime. It’s concerning, and to say the least, unusual,” Adams told WFMZ.

“I will tell you that one of the main items that was collected was a pill bottle, which was stolen during the robbery of the West Reading Drug Store. That pill bottle has specific markings on it and could be traced. As for the whereabouts of those pills, we do not know, and I can only surmise that some may have been sold. I really don’t know. I’ve been the district attorney for 12 years and I do not recall a individual in a position of something like a borough councilman being charged with a felony offense such as robbery,” he added.

West Reading Mayor Andrew Kearney released a statement after Mullen’s arrest, appearing to show support for the disgraced councilman, who still technically holds office:

“Councilman Mullen is still on West Reading Borough Council and Councilman Mullen is innocent till proven guilty. Since August, Councilman Mullen and I have discussed some of his personal issues at great length. I was and still, am sympathetic toward Councilman Mullen with regard to the conditions that led up to this alleged act. I am praying that Councilman Mullen can maintain his strength and focus to get through this. All of my thoughts right now are with Councilman Mullen and his family.”

Mullen recently joined the city council in January 2019.

The crime was ultimately solved by security camera footage, which showed Mullen in the store on numerous other occasions without a mask. Surveillance footage from nearby buildings also showed the suspect running in the direction of Mullen’s home.

The robbery was described in court documents:

“The suspect, later identified as Mullen, walked into the drug store and announced, “This is a robbery,” and ordered several employees to put their hands up and to open a cabinet where narcotics were stored. Mullen ordered at least one employee to back up because he “didn’t want anyone to get hurt.”

Mullen is currently being held at Berks County Prison on $200,000 bail.

Last week, The Mind Unleashed reported that the mayor of a small Florida town engaged in a gunfight with police after they came to arrest him for practicing medicine without a license. He is now facing multiple counts of attempted murder in addition to his original charges.

Should We Pray for Animals?

Many people from diverse cultures and religious background hold different views about the role of animals in our world. In the East, the belief that animals have souls and partake with us the right to live a life of freedom is more widely accepted than in the west. In a world plagued by unkindness, cruelty, and lack of awareness, prayers for the voiceless animals, seems to be a spiritual service that all animal lovers can and should do. Is Praying for Animals Biblical?   Our Judeo-Christian society tends to see animals through a different set of lenses, despite the recommendations clearly stated in the Bible. Many Christians tend to think that just because there are no explicit mentions in the Bible about the animals’ spiritual needs, they just don’t exist. But that is not the truth, and, at the same time, we don’t find in the sacred scriptures any mention that we should not attend to our little brothers and sisters’ spiritual needs. In Thailand, elephants are allowed to have funeral rituals and prayers, just like a human being; maybe because the Buddhist culture tends to regard all animals as non-human persons. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that the animals and the resources of Creation are naturally ordained for the common good of humanity. Although it is “contrary to human dignity to make animals suffer unnecessarily and waste their lives.” He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate, bringing forth food from the earth~ Psalm 104:14 In Genesis 1:25-26 we see: “And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.” Then God said, “Let us…

Suffering

Question

I believe the mind is the power house of transferring information from the nonphysical world to the physical world, but can you please explain to me the reasons for pain, suffering (of vulnerable – elderly, children, animals). What are the reasons for this because I need to understand so that I can make sense of it all. Is it that how we interpret suffering and how we experience it that maps out our soul and determines the next life we live. Is there such a place as heaven? Is there such a place as hell? Once we die doesn’t that place we go to get packed out and full of souls. Does heaven get cramped with souls. Please explain to me. Where do we go?

Is Spoiling Your Teen Ruining Their Life?

Are you spoiling your teenager?  You might want to reconsider that. Spoiling Your Teen Is Ruining Their Life     I’ve been thinking about the way some teenagers are growing up these days. I see these kids all over. They’re angry and frustrated, miserable and lost, and it’s mainly the fault of their parents who’ve been letting them down. These teens are spoiled, overly entitled, self-centered and averse to hard work. They expect to win at everything they try, despite putting in hardly any effort. They don’t expect any real consequences for their lazy, selfish or bad behavior, and they focus on the pursuit of comfort and pleasure rather than on creating a meaningful existence for themselves, now and in the future. Perhaps the parents of these teens have been trying too hard to compensate for the harsh parenting they received. Perhaps they were neglected as children and are so devoid of self-love that they look to their children for their sense of worth. They think that being “nice” will enable them to feel better about themselves. Unfortunately, spoiling one’s children doesn’t make anyone in the family feel better. Neither parents nor children benefit from this approach. All it does is a foster disconnection, disrespect, even contempt. Overly “nice” parents are trying too hard to ingratiate themselves with their teens. They’re excessively lenient with their children, allowing them to come and go at all hours of the day and night. They tolerate being talked back to with the utmost disrespect. Their parents have set them up for a life of misery. These parents demand almost nothing from their teens and instead reward them for ordinary activities that any parent ought to expect from a child; for example, keeping their room clean or doing their homework. This fails to instill proper…

Warnings about Pluto in 2020

What if Pluto’s influence on our civilization injects a disruptive, but necessary, an element that forces us to clean up our act and get serious about displaying Love-Acceptance-Wisdom? Something magical can happen when we choose to live in balance and act from that higher level. A Numerologist Looks at Warnings about Pluto in 2020 by Sandra Marre-Houser     Astrologers stare unblinkingly at 2020 when short, dark, menacing Pluto socially engages with other powerful planets. Pluto, acting like an overly-authoritarian father, had seven square-offs with his technology-savvy son, Uranus back in 2012-15. However, Uranus has moved out of the house and is making his career plans. As ruler of the Aquarian Age, we can expect Uranus to leave his not-so-gentle mark on the upcoming 2,000 years. The rich and manipulative Pluto will now be entertaining other members of the family: Uncle Saturn (limitation, discipline, pessimism), Aunt Jupiter (optimism, excesses), and even Cousin Mars (energy, aggression) will be arriving for visits, each taking turns interacting with Father Pluto and with each other! Pluto will tire by the end of 2020, but he is anticipating his big Birthday Party in 2022 when he celebrates by returning to the place where he was discovered in 1930 as the Great Depression began. There is more than just mild apprehension about the symbolism of this event! Pluto continues to be active beyond 2024 when he enters Aquarius for 20 years. He is expected to dismantle what is positive about Aquarius: concern for social welfare and ideals around humanity as a group. A numerologist attempts to translate into an amusing story what astrologers have painstakingly uncovered as warnings to our culture about deep changes that face us. Astrology is something like an opera sung in the language of geometry. If we know the character’s basic energy…
